If you have llittle one’s that like to create using all kinds of mediums this is the place for you to have a great family adventure with hands on activities for everyone to enjoy. I found this museum throughsfkids.org a great resourceful site for kid friendly places and activities in San Francisco. So when I showed our 8 year old and our 1 1/2 year old where we were going on our next family adventure they were thrilled ! the Children’s Creativity Museum integrates creative technology with hands on innovation, design, art and music activities to get your kids thinking. We are a pretty Tech friendly family and we use our devices as creative learning resources with the kids so we were all pretty excited to head out to the Children’s Creativity Museum on Sunday and see what the museum had in store for us. Trust me you won’t be disappointed one bit ! Guaranteed.
This year I made a Lego star wars Advent calendar this year for my Family that I found on one of my favorite sites Pinterest. It was made by Living Locurto She has a lot of great printables and crafts for the holidays.
My little family are Big Star Wars and Lego fans so the one we chose to make was perfect for our countdown. Thank You Living Locurto for your creativity *Big Hugs*.
I also got inspired by another creative Mom –Miracle Momma – when she made some golden tickets for her kids as a surprise to hop in the Mini Van and look at all the different creative Christmas lights. Unfortunately we don’t have a Minivan so I know my Son would be highly questionable about the ticket *LOL*. So after I read that story I found a great light show close by us that was in Los Gatos that could be a great advent holiday activity. After I make those first 4 tickets I thought “Why stop here?” So I collected some advent activities via Pinterest and put them on my Christmas board and also made my some of my own activities for our Calendar. Since I have an interactive 8 year old boy who lives and Loves Legos along with his Tablet I decided to make it interactive for him and let him see visual what we were going to do each day. I think it’s going to be more fun for him each day when he gets to open each tab. So let’s get started and get our “Creative Flow” going.
I found these images today on my Google Reader and I had to share. I’m so happy that Urban Art and Traditions are continuing to make this Fusion a reality. Being a young urban Native in this day an age I definitely connect with these images and I feel blessed to see this project has come to light and that it is shared with those who believe that there is a beautiful balance that can be achieved between the urban world the traditional one. Hugs to my all relations who made this project possible and may it continue to grow and prosper for all generations. ART IS POWER.
Paris has been by far one of my travel dream destinations. I just recently found a site that gave me and incredible Visual sense of what Paris is all about. It’s made me want to make sure my trip becomes a reality. This project is amazing I even focused in on people walking on the street?!
Paris 26 Gigapixels is the name of the biggest assembled panoramic image of the world. It shows Paris in a very high definition. A gigapixel is 1 billion pixels! The image is a stitching of more than 2000 individual photos. Paris 26 Gigapixels has been shot on September 8th, 2009 and is now available for eveyone at http://www.paris-26-gigapixels.com.
She has a great post about her recent trip to Paris and some really helpful tips while visiting Paris.
The Paris 26 Gigapixel project involved:
Kolor, a young innovative company based in the French Alps, is the world reference in the image-stitching solutions. Its software Kolor Autopano was used to automatically assemble the 2346 photos composing the Paris 26 Gigapixels image.
Arnaud Frich is the most famous panoramic photographer in France. He is also a trainer in panoramic photography and virtual tours. His website proposes a comprehensive guide about panoramic photography. He is the author of books and a training DVD on panoramic photography.
Martin Loyer is a photographer specialized in extraordinary cityscapes. Traveling into the various strata of the city, from above the roofs to the underground passages and tunnels, he gives value to unknown or hidden places.
For those of you who haven’t already heard or caught a glimpse of Mike Posner, you most definitely will start hearing the buzz about he anticipated album. He went a different route getting signed to J records by putting out his Mix tapes online for free through I-tunes. He’s let his music speak for itself and now it’s making it’s way to the Masses. I’m very picky about pop music and for the most part I don’t really listen to most of it. I did however come across this artist a few months ago when I was reading one of my favorite blogs “The lipstick diaries” There was a video of a young kid sitting with his laptop and keyboard wearing a “We Run Duke” T-shirt on. He looked liked a typical college kid until he started to play his song ” Kiss me through the Phone” all I gotta say is kid got Talent and a humbleness about him. Personally I’m always for genuine talent that makes their way through the Ugly mugginess of the music industry.
I have to admit I was pretty nervous on the way over to the Comcast Building in San Jose where they tape this local cable show but luckily I had good company and you know what they say about like minded individuals *smiles*. So my nerves eventually calmed down and we got down to business and everything ran smoothly. I’ve been behind the scenes so much being a makeup artist, hair stylist, fashions stylist switching seats was definately a huge change for me. I’ve been watching this local show for past couple of years in San Jose and it always gave me comfort to see a fellow native speak on every topic we face as a community and to see what was going on in the local scene with diffrent progams and groups as well as across the nation. So I was hopeful when I contacted the show they would be able to help me get Enspired Visions a push start and they were more than happy to help me out and asked me right away when I had time to come on for a segment featuring Enspired Visions. The hosts Cihuapilli Rose Amador and Teocuauhtli Sundust Martinez made me feel completely at home and had some great questions for me through out the interview. It was deja vu for me being in that chair when many times before that I was sitting at home just like the rest of the viewers watching it on a Sunday afternoon after or sometimes during dinner. The show was a half hour long and we got no second takes and no editing is in the process so whatcha see is what ya get, lol. Hopefully I gave you a good peak into why I started the company and the stuggles and influences that shaped me along my journey and what’s in store for Enspired Visions future.
This whole weekend was definately a busy weekend for Me. Saturday I was in Oakland for their 8th Annual Pow Wow selling some EV accesories and spending some time with my fellow natives Miss Niko and Manny who was the Behind the Scenes Man of the Pow Wow helping the Event run smoothly, and then I headed back for the 2nd Annual Indigenous Expo here in San Jose at the MACSA center. Later on that evening I caught a performace by The One Struggle Band along with Mr E-rise from El Vu and Mr Prophecy from Antithesis who took up the Mic for a quick groove session with the Band. I got it all on tape so I will definately be uploading that performance to share. I also picked up the the One Struggle Album and it’s been playing in my Nano since I got it. Love it! Over all both Events were definately sucessful Events and taking an outing for myself was long over due and I was thankful I got to be a part of the Festivities and got to meet a lot of great people. I’ll definately be making both events apart of my calender next year. I can’t forget the food too, In the end I got some Frybread and Stew in my stomach and a cup of navajo tea, yup the perfect ending and I was a happy camper.
